Two years ago, an idea jolted me awake in the middle of the night. The idea was for a book that I knew I had to write.
The next day, I found myself in a café typing up an outline. In less than an hour, my book had structure, and I was feeling energized and excited.
After that, I worked a little on fleshing out the first couple chapters. And then, life got busy, and although I didn’t forget that I needed and wanted to write this book, it just didn’t feel like the right time.
One year ago, I think you remember what happened. We all found ourselves needing to stay home. It was scary and completely uncertain. I really needed a project that would keep me from endless doom scrolling. Did “The Universe” know that when it sent me the idea for my book? Who knows? Regardless, now was clearly the right time to work on this book. And ironically, my book dealt with exactly what we were all feeling: STUCK.
The Book of STUCK is a manual and workbook for those needing help with any place in life that is STUCK. This STUCK place could be in a job, a relationship, or because you just want to experience more joy.
When I received the idea to write it, I thought I would be writing the book for myself. I’ve been in and out of STUCK for pretty much my whole life. But as I’ve talked with others as a coach, a friend, and a colleague, it has been interesting to learn that everyone has something that is STUCK. So, what was once a “me” project became a “we” endeavor.
After a year of being STUCK, I am putting the finishing touches on my book! In this episode of Growing in Uncertainty, I share my journey in writing this book, what’s in it, and how The Book of STUCK will help you or anyone you know get UNSTUCK.
