This is the first in a series of videos I will be doing to introduce the instruments that I use during a Sound Bath. And why are they called Sound Baths?

When I started providing Sound Baths, I mainly used my crystal bowls. But I have since learned that different sounds can have different effects on the body. Using different types of sound can help to shake up energy that has become stuck in the body. The goal of my Sound Baths is to use certain instruments to get your body relaxed, different sounds to shake up the energy to get things unstuck, then instruments that cleanse that energy away, and finally to bring harmony to your nervous system. One is "bathed" in all manner of sounds to clean old stuck energy away so attendees can emerge fresh and in energetically aligned.

Hearing a simple, Earthy tune on a Native American Style Flute (NAsF) at the beginning of a Sound Bath helps us come to a relaxed state. I use two types of NAs Flutes. One is a wooden duck flute, and the other is a drone flute. The duck flute has 5 holes and plays one pitch at a time by changing the holes that my fingers cover. The drone flute can either be played like the duck flute, or it can produce 2 pitches at the same time because there are 2 flute chambers that have been combined into 1 flute. You will see and hear in the video below the difference in sound between these 2 flutes.

I hope you enjoy the sound of these flutes!

You can receive a Sound Bath from me monthly at the I AM Holistic Services studio in downtown St. Johns, MI. CLICK HERE for the I AM calendar of events to see when the next Nervous System Reset Sound Bath will be. Thanks for reading and watching!
